The Doll’s Trunk Murders

The Doll’s Trunk Murders, by Helen Reilly
Another one of those books that I imagine the Belarski cover sold to readers who were inevitably disappointed to find a pedestrian mystery inside.
Human Sacrifice: A Significant Social Problem
Original post here. Original text:
Human Sacrifice is frequent problem for pulp characters. Whether it’s cults hidden among society’s upper crust,
Or working-class cults,
Or middle-class bureaucratic cults,
Or satanic cults,
Or Asian cults of yellow peril,
Or jungle cults,
Or lost civilization lesbian cults,
Or… whatever this is
Or just generally shadowy cults,
Of course, some cults like to mix a little torture in with their sacrificing,
While attractive women are the usual offering, many cults prefer to sacrifice men,
And very rarely, someone actually dies!

Bizarre Sea Guardian
Original post here. Actual provenance of the image is unclear, but it is in use as cover art for an e-book.
From this review, the illustrated story might be “‘Undersea Guardians’: Half-naked sea-dwelling zombies battle the Nazi Kriegsmarine!”

More savagery toward pretty women
Original post here. Sourced on tumblr to damsellover. This appears to be work by the prolific pulp and men’s magazine illustrator John Duillo. There is a pulpcovers gallery of his work here.
Harry Dickson versus Yellow Peril
