This tentacular beauty is the cropped and color-tweaked central portion of an artwork called Enrapture (oil and graphite on wood) by artist Audrey Kawasaki. (Her Wikipedia entry is here.)
According to the artist’s LiveJournal, the piece was part of her 2011 show Restlessly Still at the Merry Karnowski Gallery in Los Angeles. The artist also has a blog where she’s promoting her current work and shows.
