A bad way to go

My original tumblr post was here.  This woodcut bears the Latin caption “Malo mihi tortor violet quam membra Cytheris:  Integra sum secto corpore sponsa Dei.”  This appears to mean something like “I prefer to sit in violation of the members of Venus: I cut the whole body, the bride of God.”  Your guess is as good as mine.  Original text:
